Melanie has been in the fashion, retail and communications industry for over 30 years. She holds a BA in Fashion Merchandising Communication from Ryerson University, and serves as Vice-President of the BC Society for the Museum of Costume.

She founded Inspire Retail Solutions in 2000 to help independent retailers increase sales with merchandising. Melanie has been teaching fashion business to post-secondary students for over a decade, and currently coaches entrepreneurs who strive to create change through sustainable, ethical and inclusive fashion.
